Este proyecto residencial nace del deseo de integrar un espacio familiar que promueva la conexión con la naturaleza, y que al mismo tiempo ofrezca confort y funcionalidad. La casa se ubica en una esquina de un barrio cerrado, sobre un amplio lote de 75 x 50 metros. Este entorno natural, enmarcado por árboles añosos, conforma un paisaje que resplandece tanto en verano como en otoño.
Con una superficie cubierta de aproximadamente 280 m2 y 120 m2 de galerías semicubiertas y permeables, la vivienda se desarrolla en una única planta con forma de “L”. Esta disposición no solo define el área del jardín, sino que también articula los espacios interiores, generando vistas cruzadas entre los distintos ambientes.
La estructura descansa sobre una delgada losa de hormigón que se extiende formando la gran “L”, atravesada por un perfil metálico que integra todas las áreas, incluidas las galerías. A la vista, emergen dos volúmenes de hormigón que actúan como cajas, alojando el comedor diario y el playroom, ambos orientados hacia la calle.
La losa presenta tres perforaciones estratégicas que generan patios interiores e integran la naturaleza al espacio habitable: uno con tres abedules visibles desde el living; otro destinado a la zona de tender; y un tercero ubicado sobre la ducha de la piscina, que ofrece una vista directa al cielo y al follaje de los robles.
El diseño del living es uno de los aspectos más destacados de la casa: se presenta apaisado, con amplios ventanales que ofrecen una vista espectacular del jardín. Esta área se integra armoniosamente con el comedor, la cocina y el comedor diario. Sobre este espacio, un techo inclinado se eleva, sostenido por una estructura metálica y lucarnas que no solo aportan una sensación de amplitud, sino que también permiten una abundante entrada de luz natural.
El frente de la vivienda está definido por tabiques de hormigón visto, realizados con encofrado de tablas verticales de 1,2 metros de alto, que se extienden hasta la línea de retiro. Esta solución genera un jardín cedido al entorno, un jardín intermedio entre el muro y la fachada, y un jardín interior que se proyecta hacia el corazón del terreno, promoviendo la circulación de aire y luz.
Se han elegido materiales que dialogan armónicamente con el paisaje: madera de lapacho sin tratar para los revestimientos exteriores, utilizada también en pérgolas, cercos y decks; hormigón visto y hierro pintado de negro en las estructuras expuestas, aportando un contraste contemporáneo. La piscina, revestida en su interior con un material oscuro, funciona como un espejo que refleja los árboles circundantes, evocando la imagen de un lago inmerso en la naturaleza.
La casa se funde con el paisaje, creando un espacio que no solo expresa una identidad arquitectónica precisa, sino que también respeta y realza la belleza del entorno. Su disposición, los materiales seleccionados y el diseño detallado promueven una experiencia de vida integral, en la que cada ambiente se conecta con el exterior, ofreciendo un refugio en armonía con la naturaleza.
[:en]This residential project was born from the desire to create a family space that fosters a strong connection with nature while offering comfort and functionality. The house is located on a corner lot within a gated community, on a generous 75 x 50 meter plot. This natural setting, framed by mature trees, forms a landscape that shines in both summer and autumn.
With an approximate covered area of 280 m² and 120 m² of semi-covered, permeable galleries, the residence unfolds on a single L-shaped floor plan. This layout not only defines the garden area but also organizes the interior spaces, generating cross views between the various rooms.
The structure rests on a thin concrete slab that extends in the shape of an L, intersected by a metal profile that integrates all areas, including the galleries. Two exposed concrete volumes emerge as boxes that house the daily dining area and the playroom, both oriented toward the street.
The slab features three strategic openings that create interior courtyards and incorporate nature into the living space: one with three birch trees visible from the living room; another serving the laundry/tender area; and a third located above the pool shower, offering direct views of the sky and surrounding oak foliage.
The living room is one of the home’s most prominent spaces: horizontally oriented, with large windows offering spectacular views of the garden. This area integrates seamlessly with the dining room, kitchen, and daily dining nook. Above it, a sloped roof rises, supported by a metal structure and skylights that not only enhance the sense of spaciousness but also allow abundant natural light to flood the space.
The front façade is defined by exposed concrete walls formed with 1.2-meter-high vertical board formwork, which extend up to the front setback line. This design solution creates a garden that is visually shared with the surroundings, an intermediate space between the concrete wall and the façade, and a central garden projecting into the heart of the plot—encouraging natural airflow and daylight penetration.
Materials were carefully selected to harmonize with the landscape: untreated lapacho wood was used for exterior cladding, as well as for pergolas, fences, and decks. Exposed concrete and black-painted steel define the visible structure, providing a refined contemporary contrast. The pool, lined with a dark material, acts as a mirror reflecting the surrounding trees—evoking the image of a lake immersed in nature.
The house blends into the landscape, creating a space that not only conveys a strong architectural identity but also respects and enhances the beauty of its surroundings. Its layout, chosen materials, and thoughtful design foster a holistic living experience, where each room connects to the outdoors—offering a true retreat in harmony with nature.
