La casa se encuentra ubicada en un lote único, en primera línea de Punta Ballena, y se desarrolla en tres niveles siguiendo la fuerte pendiente del terreno, finalizando con un remate sobre las rocas, con vista franca al mar y al poniente.

Aprovechando este privilegio, los distintos volúmenes se escalonan en planta y se abren de forma tal que todos los espacios disfrutan de una vista fantástica. Los ambientes principales —como el living en doble altura, la master suite y las galerías— se abren completamente hacia el mar, mientras que hacia la calle la casa se presenta más cerrada, integrándose a la escala existente del entorno.

La arquitectura se expresa a través de grandes planos paralelos, contundentes, de hormigón visto en las cubiertas, que a su vez se perciben livianos por sus proporciones y las transparencias sugerentes que los atraviesan.

El basamento de la casa, a diferencia de la planta baja y la planta alta, está completamente construido en piedra. En el interior, la roca natural del terreno se incorpora como parte del diseño, generando un anclaje con el suelo y aportando una estética única. La piedra se luce especialmente en los patios y visuales interiores que conectan los diferentes niveles mediante huecos y vacíos.

Los materiales acompañan la arquitectura local, buscando una paleta reducida y una expresión neta en su uso. Se destacan la madera de lapacho en fachadas —tanto en revestimientos como en cerramientos—, el hormigón visto con textura de encofrado en tablas en losas y muros perimetrales, y los pisos de piedra natural, que se extienden sin interrupciones desde el interior hacia el exterior, continuando hasta la piscina con borde infinito hacia la bahía.

La vegetación también forma parte integral de la propuesta, resolviendo los remates en los diferentes niveles mediante amplios maceteros perimetrales en planta alta, y acompañando accesos y senderos a lo largo del recorrido. Esta vegetación actúa como un tamiz que brinda privacidad desde el interior y genera una vista más orgánica desde el exterior.

El subsuelo se presenta como una planta libre que alberga una sala de juegos, gimnasio, cava y una vista infinita al mar, lograda gracias al aprovechamiento del desnivel natural. Esto refuerza la idea principal de la casa: una arquitectura que acompaña el terreno, preservando una relación constante entre interior y exterior.

The house is located on a unique oceanfront lot in Punta Ballena, unfolding across three levels that follow the steep slope of the terrain. It culminates in a striking ending over the rocks, with unobstructed views of the sea and the western horizon.

Taking full advantage of this privileged setting, the different volumes are staggered in plan and opened strategically to ensure fantastic views from every space. Key areas such as the double-height living room, the master suite, and the terraces open completely toward the sea, while the façade facing the street remains more closed off, integrating respectfully with the existing urban scale.

The architecture unfolds through large, parallel planes of exposed concrete — bold yet perceived as light thanks to their proportions and the suggestive transparencies that filter through them.

The base level of the house, unlike the ground and upper floors, is entirely built in stone. Inside, the natural rock of the terrain is left exposed, anchoring the house to its surroundings and creating a unique aesthetic. Natural stone is highlighted throughout the design via patios and internal views, with openings and voids connecting the different levels.

The materials were chosen in harmony with the local architectural language, with a focus on minimalism and authenticity. Lapacho wood is used on the façades — both as cladding and for shutters — while the exposed concrete features board-formed textures on slabs and perimeter walls. Natural stone flooring extends seamlessly from the interior to the exterior, continuing toward the infinity pool that overlooks the bay.

Vegetation is an essential part of the design, framing the different levels with generous planter-barriers on the upper floor and accompanying pathways and entrances throughout. It acts as a natural screen that provides privacy from the inside while offering a more organic and integrated view from the outside.

The basement is conceived as an open-plan level, housing a spacious playroom, gym, and wine cellar, all with uninterrupted sea views. This is achieved by fully embracing the site’s slope, reinforcing the project’s guiding principle: an architecture that follows the natural terrain, preserving a continuous relationship between interior and exterior.
